REDEFINING MENTAL WELLNESS ONE MOMENT AT A TIME

ARE YOU READY TO HAVE A MORE BALANCED AND FULFILLED LIFE? LET'S START BY UNDERSTANDING YOUR STORY:
What narratives did you hear as a child that have shaped how you live your life today?
What stories do you tell yourself today about who you are?
Are you experiencing a life issue, but can't seem to find your way out of it?
Are you stuck in a reality others have created for you?

Why We Are Redefining Mental Wellness.
Five years ago, I was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse (MVP), a condition I was likely born with. After several preliminary procedures, I was told that repairing my valve was the only way to save my life.
Can you imagine how this experience impacted my mental health?
Going through heart surgery was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, and I know many of you have had similar life-changing problems that often result in trauma, anxiety, and depression.
I will tell you that the doctors helped me to reclaim my physical self, but I worked my butt off to redefine my emotional wellness. It was hard to get started, but one day during my recovery, it clicked. I re-engaged in therapy, meditation, social interactions, and a series of wellness habits to redefine and re-claim my life.
I am committed to rewriting my narrative and redefining a more empowered and limitless version of myself, and A Place For Me Counseling can help you do the same.

A Word From Our Founder Erlese Caruth, LPC, NCC, CPCS, CCH
A Place for Me Counseling provides a safe, friendly, inclusive, and therapeutic environment to uncover and manage intense emotions. When clients are ready to make a change we listen with empathy and compassion, as we work together to help them navigate challenging situations, rewrite their narratives and discover ways to emerge from their old stories stronger, more confident, and more resilient to face the world.
We utilize a combination of theory and technique to include EMDR, hypnotherapy, exposure response prevention, solution-focused, narrative, cognitive behavior, sex therapy, and evidence-based treatment for adolescents.
