I am an Atlanta based Psychotherapist. I was born in the Caribbean and and raised in New York City. I have a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling, I am a National Certified Counselor(NCC) and a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist(CCH). I have experience working in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including private practice, hospitals, local agencies and schools. I have two children, I care for a rescued puppy, I love the arts and my practice is located in the heart of Little Five Points.
I practice a unique combination of interpersonal therapies, cognitive behavioral techniques, hypnotherapy and play therapy. I practice Exposure Response prevention (ERP) therapy to support clients dealing with anxiety. I work with other issues people are facing, such as depression, work related issues, grief and loss, emotional distress, separation, anger management and relationship or marital issues. I also have extensive experience working with behavior, emotional and social issues children are experiencing or any challenges affecting your mental health and preventing you from living an optimal life.
I have a holistic approach towards treating my clients by working with them to conceptualize presenting issues, develop treatment goals, and most of all, sharing the experience of emotional growth, resilience and courage to embrace the life they want. I offer an inclusive environment for children, individuals, couples and families to explore and discover self-determined goals through mindful choices and a resolution of problems.
